THE PIZZA & BIA STORY

In 2016, I started a journey in Italy to become a qualified Pizzaiola.

 

I have been cooking for as long as I can remember, helping my mom cook for our family since I was young. After travelling to Italy, I saw the similar way our two cultures value family and food. I fell in love with Italian cuisine, especially pizza. I was determined to return to Vietnam and open a pizza business. In 2017, Pizza & Bia opened with the help of my family - I have since trained my two brothers in dough and pizza making, making ours a true family pizzeria.

 

While we break some Italian rules with our NY style toppings, we stick to the traditions I learnt in Italy around the importance of getting the two essentials right; the craftsmanship and care that go into a good Italian dough, and the simplicity that makes a great tasting pizza sauce.
